Client Master List is the certificate of demat account provided by the depository, which contains all information of the client such as DP ID, name, contact details, address, bank linked with DP profile. It is useful in mapping the demat accounts with trading accounts and also for off-market transfer of shares. The transfer of shares can either be CDSL to CDSL (intra depository) or CDSL to NSDL (inter depository).
